Only In America: Car Crash Radio Recording

February 27, 2007 (3 Responses)

Only In America!THIS IS FIERCE FUNNY, and I promise you it will have you laughing out loud. What you are about to hear is a recording from a radio show in the USA. The recording is a voicemail left by one lad from his car phone, where he witnesses an accident in progress in Texas and basically reports exactly what he is seeing while on the phone.

It’s brilliant, and will make you think twice about ever getting into a car accident with old people in America. To listen in simply click on the Radio Recording link and it will open up a new browser window where you can click on the PLAY button. Enjoy :)

Jesus: Religious Icon Or Randy Dude?

February 26, 2007 (No Responses)

Jesus - Religious Icon or Randy Father?JESUS HAD A SON named Judah and was buried alongside Mary Magdalene, according to a new documentary by Hollywood film director James Cameron.

Yup. You read that right. Cameron is about to unveil a documentary film on the Discovery Channel next month where he claims to have found the, now empty, tomb of one Jesua, son of Joseph. The sepulchre also apparently contained the bodies of Mary. As well as another Mary, Matthew and Jofa, and most spectacularly, Jonah, son of Jesu. Cameron also says he has statistical analysis and DNA evidence to back up his claim. Although what DNA they are comparing against is a bit of a mystery to me!

Hmmm. So Jesus got ‘busy’ with Mary and produced an offspring?

I’m not religious. I’m pretty much agnostic but I know a lot of religious people, and in particular a lot of pretty serious Catholics and Christians who are going to be fairly pissed off by this. Not because some Hollywood icon has decided to make a documentary about this. Not even because it will completely contradict their belief system. Oh no - what will really piss them off is that we are now looking at the potential for something much worse. Read more

A Touch Of Class… From The Fans & The Irish Team

February 25, 2007 (2 Responses)

Proud To Be IrishTHE HANGOVER is just about lifting and I can handle daylight again, but hell it was worth it. There are many many reasons I’m normally proud to be Irish, but last night was an unexpected one. I refer of course to the massively historic rugby match between Ireland and England, for the first time ever at Croke Park, the site of Bloody Sunday massacre in 1920. Dammit, the last time I got caught up in a sporting event so much was probably when Ireland had that amazing run in the World Cup back in 1990.

Still, last night was special. I was proud to be Irish for three main reasons. Firstly, the greeting that the home crowd gave the English team when they ran out on the pitch; it was generous, respectful and most of all ‘sporting’ considering the history, the occasion and the location most of all. But even then I was holding my breath, along with most of the nation, waiting for the inevitable “God Save The Queen” anthem to be played in such hallowed grounds for the first time ever. You could have heard a pin drop in the stadium as the country held it’s collective breath while the band struck up that tuneRead more

Say Hello To My Little Beer Friend

February 24, 2007 (No Responses)

Beer Cooler #1THERE IS A NEW addition here at Howl @ The Moon, namely a really nifty table top beer cooler (see picture).

You see, tonight we have a bunch of folks coming over to the house for lots of different reasons, however the key item of information here is that there will be lots of food and drink ingested and slurped in that order tonight. Hopfully there will be cause to celebrate a win this afternoon (G’wan the lads!!) - but it’s too early to know about that yet.

Even so - the in laws and the closer-to-home types are all gathering at our place tonight for some serious craic, and since SusiQ had the fridge full of food I was struggling to see how the hell I was going to get the beer sorted. Then I came up with a brilliant idea… Read more

Find X

Find X Exam Question <span class=& Response" height="211" style="width: 300px; height: 211px" title="Find X Exam Question & Response" />I received a bunch of funny Exam questions and results in the mail yesterday, but this one caught my attention.

I hope to hell the student got marks for creativity, simplicity and sheer balls to deliver such a coup-de-grace ;)

Chances are though the teacher simply laughed his/her ass off for a few minutes and then delivered the big fat zero mark. Pity though - I absoultely love this answer.

Many thanks to Cormac for sending this one on to me!

There are about another 5 or 6 examples of a similar kind, so if anyone wants them just contact me in the usual way, or leave a comment here and I’ll email them on to you. Some are spectacularly fully, but just too large to display here. Enjoy.

Ireland Vs England Match To Have Healing Ceremony?

February 19, 2007 (No Responses)

Irish RugbyAs British & Irish Governments Plan Ceremony in Croke Park, Northern Ireland Minister Peter Hain has announced details of a joint ceremony before Ireland’s crunch game against England in Croke Park on the 24th February.

The significance of the game is not lost on GAA followers and republicans who remember the infamous shooting of 14 players and supporters by the British Army on the 21st November 1921.

However according to GAA spokesman Ulick Magee a plan being devised by the GAA and the Northern Ireland office, will attempt to draw a line under the incident.

We’ve spoken to the British government and they understand the significance of the event back in 1921. Back then 14 people were killed by British forces so in the spirit of the peace process and friendship we’re proposing that we shoot 14 of their lot before the match.”

Then maybe have fireworks afterwards or something.” Said Mr Magee.
