Old Grandma Hardcore - Original Of The Species

I’M NOT EXACTLY a spring chicken when it comes to gaming; I’ve been gaming for over two decades, starting off with a BBC Acorn system, progressing to a ZX81, onto my first PC and then the endless love affair with PC gaming ever since then. Never did make the transition to consoles and probably never will. Today however I came across Old Grandma Hardcore - a blog site run by a young student focused entirely on the gaming antics and accomplishments of his grandma, affectionately known as “Old Grandma Hardcore”.
This women has been gaming for longer that me and at nearly seventy years of age, she appears to be able to kick ass with the best of em in the console arena. There is hope for us yet… good luck to her!

I’m adding you to my link list. Keep at it some good stuff here!
I have been following this news story and the implications are frightening. The new emphasis on military here has been escalating since the war started in Iraq. Less and less people are signing up for duty and as recruitment drops, the propaganda grows. In my last house, less then a year ago, I kept getting calls from a recruitment officer trying to get me to join up because I am once again a student going to university. Now, I have no idea how this dude got my name or any information on me at all but the phone calls came once a month. Next came the emails through my campus email address. I solved this little annoyance by emailing back and telling them that I was almost 40 and even if I was 20, I wouldn’t be interested—no more emails. I cannot imagine the pressure young university students experience from the recruiting on campus which is high and continuous. I do not like the direction this country is going in and, frankly, I frightens me. That is not to say there aren’t some good things here, but there is writing on the wall and I know, from reading other blogs for people in different countries, that my fears are not unfounded.
haha great! I must show that to my friend
