It’s Official – Winter Is Here!

Had a few beers last night, stumbled into the scratcher for a few hours kip and this morning, dragged my ass into the local people place for some trad breakfast (full irish etc.) and coke; the perfect hangover cure. Once I got over the intial ‘oh christ I’m awake’ stage I took a walk around the marina I realised just how crisp the air was, and how cold it had become. The wind was slicing through the boats and the cables, producing what can only be described as a loud moan, akin to large slow animals being tortured in some way, and while I stood there listening it hit me – Season Change. Winter is here folks, and not a moment too soon! Time for the dark nights, the heavy clothes, the really long weekends in bed and hopefully some snow at some point… so that the entire city will plunge into the usual chaos and mayhem
