China Electrocutes Gamers to Help Cure Them!

I know we have seen some pretty weird shit coming out of China of late, not least of all their attempts at controlling all Internet access and closing down internet cafes for publishing dissedent information etc etc… but this latest item is completely off the scale. It seems that China has taken to helping cure Internet gamers of their addiction by using electric shock treatments!!.
This Inquirer article I was reading today then goes on to explain how the kids are reacting to this “treatment”… strangely enough they loose all interest in computers and online gaming. I guess having electrodes wired up to your privates will have that effect now won’t it?. You can read the full story over here.
Anyone else think this is a litte bit of an over reaction or is it just me? 
What does the future hold for Gamers? Time will only tell. Your blog shares some thoughts, but I’m not sure if it covers the direction of things to come. Look @ Nintendo Revolution, Xbox 360 or Playstation 3? We are even seeing in Game cable boxes appearing and online game toolbars. http://www.igamebar.com. One thing is for certain!
