An Exquisite Sense Of Lousy Timing

THE UNIVERSE HATES ME! There can be no other fucking reason for this turn of events.
It was with great surprise I received a welcome note from the cops a few days ago informing me that my 2 penalty points had been erased from my license – given the three year term had run its course.
I rejoiced. I laughed at the prospect of being penalty point free again.
Hell I even taunted SusiQ because she still has 6 points on her license.
And what happens when I get home from yet another perfectly lousy day in work today? You guessed it… another letter from the cops telling me that I’ve been tagged doing 78KPH in a 60KPH zone (back on April 22nd it seems) and would I kindly pay the fine of €80 soonest so that I can receive – yup you guessed it - two penalty points on my fucking license yet again.
So – let me see… I managed to remain penalty point free for a total of nearly 4 days. That must be some kind of record!!!
Bummer. I just lost some recently, but I got my second 2pts shortly before I lost the first 2, so its back to a steady state of 2 for me.
