Say Hello To My Little Beer Friend

THERE IS A NEW addition here at Howl @ The Moon, namely a really nifty table top beer cooler (see picture).

You see, tonight we have a bunch of folks coming over to the house for lots of different reasons, however the key item of information here is that there will be lots of food and drink ingested and slurped in that order tonight. Hopfully there will be cause to celebrate a win this afternoon (G’wan the lads!!) – but it’s too early to know about that yet.

Even so – the in laws and the closer-to-home types are all gathering at our place tonight for some serious craic, and since SusiQ had the fridge full of food I was struggling to see how the hell I was going to get the beer sorted. Then I came up with a brilliant idea…

I figured if I bought some bags of ice and slapped all the beer into a big thingy out the back garden, it would all work out on the night. Sheer minutes later I saw the folly of this idea and needed a plan “B”, and quick.

Lucky for me there is a handy electrical shop near me in the local village; a quick bit of a recce and I came across this little beauty. It’s a light, table top beer cooler that takes just enough bottles/cans to keep everyone happy, and it’s small enough to sit nicely in our utility room.

As you can see – it’s getting well equipped for this evening with some Multinational options (Cobra beer from India, Bud from the USA, Staropramen from Prague in the Czech Republic and of course Guinness from Ireland). Hmm – need to find a few more beers to complete the picture; I’m sure I’ve a few Chinese Tsing Tao or Japanese Kirin knocking around somewhere.

I even managed to pick up some nice South African red wines (Rust En Verde) for the festivities, and of course who could possibly resist buying some wines called “Goats Do Roam”?

Should be a fun night; so don’t expect anything sensible until very very late tomorrow.
