I have found it as the best modern e-commerce open source solution for any kind of online stores and shops. It needs more resources but the moder look and feel with the functionality is very important and I personally prefer to start with the solution which has a potential rather to think allways about replacement and upgrade.

I have proof in e-mails that I clearly called off this project. Was I and am I upset–You bet and I have a good reason to be sir. By the way — Why am I not surprised you would say such a thing about my forum!!

Bottom line is Mr.Erving:

I was told by you Mr.Erving that I would get a full refund in Oct/09 of my $1200. Then you paid thru Paypal $200 and wrote on the Paypal payment balance due me $1000. Then no other payment came.

Then In January after over 80 e-mails from 1/22-2/7 and some not so nice from you Mr.Erving, You, Mr.Erving continue to state I will get a refund. I even made an agreement for you Mr.Erving to sign and return to me, which had your wanted payment terms, which you agreed to do if I sent it to you in PDF. I did. 3 days in a row you stated you were signing it and sending it that day. You now refuse to sign the agreement . That in itself is strange.

If you plan on being a man of your word and honor, and pay as agreed then why would you have a problem signing an agreement to refund? So far I received an additional $100 2/2 and am still owed a balance of $900.

So Mr.Erving say what you will, you have agreed to refund me the now $900 due me and it would be nice to get it so I can be done with this disaster and never have to be bothered with you again.

first off dude my sites are production areas not sites for anyone other then me……you obviously have not looked hard enough to see site. I simply register a new domain with every mall I have…..

also not one person here on this thread has paid anything to help develop and that includes you Parnassus. So unless you show me what you have built or really keep your thoughts to self.

I dont think anyone gets it yet. I am the only one here in this thread who has a mall that was built from scratch for both etsy style as well as multi store. Not one of you have came up with a solution the entire thread here..

So if you post negative comments here I dont really care…….cause bottom line is you still dont have a mall and I do…..

Some will say at others expense, OK that’s fine……I admit that but Kathy from that crappy sellersarena.com auction site or whatever she wants to call it the so called marketplace she has and the few people who said bad things were all refunded and or taken care of, they are just to pissed to comeback and make a comment about it.

Here is my story and buyer beware!!

I got with Mr. Erving in April of last year to have him make me a mall to be integrated into my SMF site. Well the cost to me –Hold on–$800. To be completed in 5 weeks and yes I have proof of everything I say and will send to anyone that wants to see it.

I paid Mr Erving his money and wanted to add a very simple showcase on the home page of my site to have events for the new mall I was Supposed to get. I was told in May that my mall would be done in a couple of days and he wanted the additional $200 for the event showcase. I paid and guess what—-No completed Mall. After repeated phone conversations and heated discussions with this man over this mall he admitted on my forum to all members in August!! He could not do this mall for my site. So my 5 week mall is now 4 months later and no mall and out $1000.

So Mr. Erving said I will offer you this new mall. His Etsy mall. I was not happy about getting a spinoff that looked like Etsy and told him so that I did not want any resembliance to Etsy. This mall was supposed to be done in a month. In October I finally asked for my money back for no mall. Forgot to mention he was only showing me web slices of this supposed new mall and it was never the same . And it was only slices. Anyone can show a web slice. There was never any mall for this on my site at all. Now I see he sells this mall for $149 but my cost was still $1200

I have had battles with this man on the phone, He has been nice and then turns on you in a second if you say he is doing something wrong. Now make him mad enough and he will not answer you back at all. He has his daughter tell you he is not home when you can hear him in the background, He does not answer any e-mails no matter how nice or mad you post at him, He will not return your calls. Now I am not talking a few days I am talking weeks.You as the customer goes right out the window if he gets upset because you do not agree with what he is doing.

His one excuse was he was not answering my long drawn out e-mails to him. Another excuse he always used was his yahoo was down. Hmmmmm but he later answered me quoting my yahoo messages to him. So he really was getting them. Well hello you have my money—It was supposed to take 5 weeks and now it is 6 months later-Upset –You Bet. It was always one excuse after another from him.Worst part is he was posting to my members on my site of all the things he was doing and really he in the background was avoiding me and not doing anything at all.

All I ever heard from this man was money. He has $2000 in my mall, then a day or 2 later then it went up to $7500, then a few days later it was $4500. It was always a different amount he said he had invested. Then I heard all about how he had to pay USPS all this money for the USPS API. Well it was no charge to me, he was paying for this he said so he could be able to use it on other web sites. But I always had this cost thrown in my face. But never saw the mall with this even added. I think that was around the time he decided he couldn’t build me a mall.

Also during this I got a Social Network script from him. It was only supposed to cost me $200 but he tried to get $400, then he told me I could have it. Reason for being it was taking so long to produce a mall. I was also promised an additional mall free of charge for all of the mess he caused. Never received anything!! Nada Nothing!!

The Social network he was offering was not even completed and when you ask him it is always a few days or next week.

So He finally on 10/12/09 agreed to refund my money within 30 days. This is a $1200 refund. I had to pay right away he gets to keep my money for 6 months and then wants 30 more days. Come on now!!!

He finally sends me a payment thru Paypal for $200 in October and writes on the receipt. Balance due (To Me) $1000.

To date I have not received my $1000 at all and I have no mall or anything to show for it. I just want my hard earned money back and go about my business and get far away from this man and the mess he created.

You cannot tell folks you can make custom malls, decide it is not feesible, offer them something else and never produce. I am out $1000 and had to get a new mall. Which Mr.Erving has sent me e-mails on commenting on what I chose to go with. He still continued to send me e-mails which I have and even went as far as to address one e-mail to me “to all the ignorant people”

This is all fact and I can prove every e-mail he has sent to me, every payment that was made, the e-mails where he states he will refund me and the paypal receipt where he says he still owes me $1000 and all of my forum posts he made stating he could not do the mall

So buyer beware. He also did this to a friend of mine and she did get her $100 refund I believe it was 4 or 5 months later for her.

This man says he doesn’t care if I take him to court as Big deal so he gets a judgement. He is not afraid of the Attorney General or BBB. He has no respect for any of this as it clearly shows by his comments in my e-mails.

This man is taking peoples money and not giving anything in return and will not refund. Yes you have to sign a contract that states No Refunds. But you have to have a working product for that to be inforceable and that is not the case here.

I know he will be bashing me and that is okay as I am telling the truth and my information and proof will be told to everyone who will listen. Folks like this should not be allowed to get away with this. That is why I will pursue this matter legally with law enforcement agencies, the court system and anywhere else I can think of.

The decent thing to do is pay me my money and let me get on with my life. I don’t know about others but $1000 is alot of money to me.

Do a web search on this man and read the reports filed on him. Mr.Erving you should be ashamed of yourself for taking from poor innocent folks. I will not stop pursuing this matter until I have my money back where it belongs.

a multi store system with full featured shops so now you can rent out the shops on your domain and have the ability to collect rents. http://multishopcms.com go ahead and test. You will see alot of features for seller as well as admin. Full block controls etc…built in cms etc….

I’ve been following this thread since I found it on Oct 2008 while researching multi-vendor store options. I decided to contact Rick Erving privately last week to discuss setting up a mall for one of my sites and we have been in communication since.

I am not a newbie to doing business online and have learned to take my time planning and researching business solutions and to ask all the questions that need to be asked before buying anything.

As far as my personal experience of dealing with Rick is concerned, the negative and malicious posts that I’ve read here are unfounded. Rick is proving himself to be a sincere and genuine person who is not only willing to listen to all of my concerns and respond to all my questions, he is also prepared to bend backwards in order to make sure that I end up getting the right solution.

I just thought I’d share my personal experience, as I know that there are many other people looking for an affordable way to set up and run their own mall offerings and we need to support, encourage – and even protect – those who are willing to take the initiative and invest their own time and money into actually creating the things we wish for.

Another note as I feel it is necessary to mention about open source and yes I am ware of this and the time it sometimes takes to make these carts. But I dont see anyone else going through the expense for creating a solution other then a couple people here.

So maybe if some would invest a little time and money to make it real as I am…..then I would have created sooner however. There is not one person here who pitched in for any development including you.

You can sit here and degrade me and say things as this is ok but unless you can come up with anything constructive instead of bringing up insults when you dont do anything yourself to make one.

Yes open source idea is great but where are the multivendor versions that the buyer gets paid direct from seller…..

Sure we can all go through elance and have one made but seems that everyone is looking for free software that while it will come soon from these open soruce carts….is expensive to make.

Anyway, I can sit here and make comments on your posts and you can insult production areas if you want to…I make no claims to the negative and there are some that paid for a mall and simply we took to long to respond but it is me and a few guys and you say it does not take this long then please show us your work and leave a real URL instead of posting this kind of insulting words towards me.
